Honor unveiled their latest gaming focused smartphone, the Honor Play in India. The new Honor smartphone boasts of a display of 19.5:9 aspect ratio display and Honor's exclusive GPU Turbo technology. The GPU Turbo technology claims to increase the performance of the device by as much as 60 percent while bringing down its battery consumption by 30 percent according to the company.
Honor Play Specifications
The smartphone sports a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels. The smartphone also features a notch which gives it a 19.5:9 aspect ratio display. The device is powered by Huawei's own HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor and runs on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone also comes with AI-powered features like Face Unlock, Notification Safety, scene and object detection and 3D facial recognition among others.
For the optics, the Honor Play sports a dual camera set up at the back. The set up consists of a 16-megapixel f/2.2 aperture primary sensor and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 aperture secondary sensor. For the selfies, the Honor Play packs a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with a f/2.0 aperture.

All of this is backed by a 3750 mAh battery. The smartphone also sports a USB-Type C port with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3 support.
Honor Play Price and Availability
The Honor Play is available in two variants including a 4GB RAM and a 6GB RAM variant, both offering only 64GB of internal storage. While the smaller 4GB RAM variant costs Rs. 19,999, the bigger 6GB RAM variant costs Rs. 23,999. The smartphone is available in two colour variants, Midnight Black and Navy Blue and it is Amazon Exclusive. There are several launch day offers as well, including a 10GB additional data per month for one year to all the Vodafone users.
