Amazon recently tapped into the UAE market by introducing its e-commerce website, Amazon.ae. After the launch on May 1, the company has received an overwhelming response in the market. Now, Amazon is finally introducing the much awaited Amazon Prime services in the country starting at just AED 16 a month.

Amazon's premium membership program called Prime now has over 100 million paid members in 17 different countries. The company is looking forward to improving those numbers by adding another country. With the premium service, the company will offer shopping and entertainment benefits tailored to the country.

Anyone in the UAE can sign up for the service starting today and grab their 30-day free trail. After the trial period is over, the users will be required to pay a sum of AED 16 (roughly Rs. 300) per month or alternatively pay AED 140 (roughly Rs. 2,700) as an annual subscription amount.

Commenting on this, Jamil Ghani, Vice President, Prime and Marketing International, said, "We are excited to provide UAE customers fast, free delivery on products from Amazon UAE and free international delivery on products from Amazon US. Prime is designed to make the lives of members better every day. It's only Day 1 so we will continue to make the program better through adding even more products and benefits to keep delighting customers in the UAE."
