Google to bring Android P on August 20: Will bring Gesture based navigation and much more

Android P is said to officially release on August 20

Google is currently working on the next major Android update. The Android P is currently under its last Beta stage, the Beta 4 which is also known as the Developer Preview 5. The beta update is available only for select devices. The other OEMs will start working on the latest Android update only once Google pushes out the stable version. Google is said to release Android P officially on August 20.

According to the popular tipster, Evan Blass, Google is planning to release the much-awaited update on August 20. Though the tipster did not say anything about the update, he just posted an image of August calendar and marked August 20 as P which clearly indicates towards the launch of the Android P. August 20 is also the day when we will come to know what name Google has decided for Android P.

Android 9 P is an update to the last year's Andoid Oreo. The update brings a significant amount of changes to the operating system. To start with, the update brings notch support and gesture based navigation. The update also intoduces a better UI. The change isnt drastic but the things look more intuative and clean.

Some of the other changes include the introduction of almost 157 new emojis, Built-in screenshot editor and much more. The update will officailly release on August 20 and will first hit Google Pixel devices.
