Google to launch an iPhone X competitor, Pixel Ultra alongside Pixel 2

Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel 2 XL have their launch date around the corner and we have been hearing a lot about these devices lately. Lately, the leaks and rumours have pointed towards the launch of only two smartphones just like what happened a year before. Now, contradicting the earlier reports, a new report suggests that Google might unveil another smartphone which could likely be called as the 'Ultra Pixel'. The 'Ultra Pixel' smartphone, according to the rumours, will be launched alongside the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL on October 4. The report comes from a legit YouTuber 'Mrwhosetheboss', who claims to have received a leaked slide from a Google presentation.

The 'Ultra Pixel' is a new name for everyone and the leaks suggest that the smartphone will have a bezel-less display and a dual-camera setup at the back. If the rumours are to be believed, the 'Ultra Pixel' could be a direct competition to the Apple iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. According to the YouTuber's source, the 'Ultra Pixel' might skip on the Android's signature navigation buttons and may instead opt-in for "fluid" gestures in order to move around the operating system. The "fluid" gestures concept is very much similar to what we saw at the Apple's event on the iPhone X.

However, this is just a little piece of leaked information. As we don't have any official confirmation as of now, we will have to wait until the company makes any announcements on the launch event. The Google Pixel 2 devices are being launched on October 4 at an event held in  San Francisco. The company might also announce the new Pixelbook as well as a Google Home Mini.
