List of smartphones to receive Android 9.0 Pie update soon: Samsung, Nokia, Xiaomi

Here's a list of all the smartphones that will be getting Google's latest Android 9 Pie update, including Samsung, Xiaomi, Nokia and others.

Android Pie is the latest Android software by Google

Google released the Android 9 Pie update back in August. Some manufacturers were quick in releasing the update for their smartphones and some still haven't but made big promises to update the smartphone. Between all this mess, you might be wondering whether your smartphone will be updated or not, so we have compiled a list for you guys.

Google

Google Pixel 3 will now be available for as low as Rs. 64,000

The Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL were launched with Android Pie out of the box. The last generation Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL and even the first generation Pixel and Pixel XL have gotten the Android Pie update.

Nokia

Nokia 3.1 Plus comes with a dual-camera setup at the back

All the latest smartphones by Nokia are part of Google's Android One Program. Meaning they will get 2 years of Android updates and 1 additional year of the security updates for sure. The Nokia 7.1 was launched in India with Android 9.0 Pie. The latest Android update is hitting the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 8 also. The Nokia 8 Siroco is scheduled to hit the update in the first quarter of 2019. The company's other smartphones Nokia 3, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 are also a part of Android One they will also be getting the update. The timing is not released as of now.

OnePlus

OnePlus 6T sports a in-display fingerprint sensor.

OnePlus 6T was unveiled with Android Pie out of the box. The OnePlus 6 got the Android Pie update soon after the release of the OnePlus 6T. The OnePlus 5/5T have started to get the Android Pie update. The company has promised the update for the OnePlus 3/3T in the first quarter of 2019.

Xiaomi

The Poco F1 is the company's latest flagship killer

The company's Android One devices the Mi A1 and Mi A2 has already been updated on Android Pie. The Pocophone F1 is presently on Android Pie beta soon to get the final update. The company has also promised to update the Mix Max 3 to latest Android update as well.

Samsung

One UI is based on Google's Android Pie operating system

Samsung has a clear schedule of when and what smartphone will get the Android Pie update. Smartphone including Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9 Plus and Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy A8 (2018), Galaxy A8+ (2018), Galaxy A7 (2018), Galaxy A9 (2018), Galaxy J4, Galaxy J4+, Galaxy J6, Galaxy J6+, Galaxy A8 Star, Galaxy J7 (2017), Galaxy J7 Duo and Galaxy J3 (2017) will be getting the latest Android update. Huawei

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is one of the best camera smartphone

Huawei will be updating a number of smartphones in their Lineup to Android Pie. The latest Huawei Mate 20 line-up that comprises of Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 and Mate 20 X was launched with Android Pie out of the box. About other smartphones the P20, P20 Pro, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Design and Mate RS Porsche Design are scheduled to get the latest update.

Honor

Honor is Huawei's sub-brand for selling budget smartphones

Huawei's sub-brand Honor has their Honor 10, Honor View 10 and Honor Play and the Honor Mate 9 smartphones currently planned to get the Android Pie update. The exact timing has not been disclosed yet.

Sony

Sony Xperia XZ3 is available in four colour variants

Sony's lineup of smartphones are being neglected by the consumers a bit lately. This doesn't mean they have stopped making smartphones. Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact are already sporting the Android 9.0 Pie while the Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact are receiving the update in a slow manner. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is also promised to get the update. When will they be getting the update is not made public yet.

LG

The LG V30+ was one of the best LG smartphones

The company's LG G7 One, which is under Android One program is already updated to Android Pie. There are no updates on when and will other LG smartphones get the latest update or not.

HTC

The HTC U12 is the company's flagship as of now

None of the smartphones in HTC's lineup have gotten the Android Pie update as of now. However, the HTC U12+, HTC U11, HTC U11+ and HTC U11 Life are promised to get the latest update.

Motorola

Motorola One Power is a the company's first phone to come with a notch

Motorola One Power with Android One has already gotten the Android Pie update. The Motorola One and Moto X4 users are getting the update in a slow roll out. The Moto Z2 Force, Moto Z2 Play, Moto G6 Plus, Moto G6, and Moto G6 Play are promised to get the latest update.

Vivo

Vivo V11 Pro comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo X21, Vivo Nex and Vivo V9 are planned to get the Android Pie update. As of now, none of the smartphones in Vivo's Lineup are running the latest update.

Oppo

The Oppo F9 Pro is a great smartphone.

The Oppo Find X is promised to get the Android Pie Update. As of other smartphones in the lineup, there is no confirmed news or release date.

Realme

Oppo RealMe1 comes with up to 128GB of onboard storage

Realme in a Twitter post confirmed all their smartphones launched in India as of date will be getting the Android Pie update. These include Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, Realme C1, and Realme U1 smartphones. However, no date has been specified till now.

Asus

Flipkart is offering the ZenFone 5Z for just Rs. 24,999

The Zenfone 5Z started receiving the Android Pie update just few days ago. The Zenfone Max Pro M1, Max Pro M2, and Max M2 are scheduled to get the update.
