Moto has finally launched the much-awaited Moto X4 in India. The Moto X4 is a mid-range smartphone offering from the company that was earlier unveiled at IFA 2017. Motorola partnered up with Tempow, a French start-up, which brings a new Wireless Sound System to the Moto X4. With this new feature, the smartphone can connect up to four Bluetooth audio devices and play music on them simultaneously and adjust the volume of each device separately.
Specifications
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Moto X4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with Adreno 508 GPU. The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and a pixel density of 424ppi. The device is launched in two variant, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The storage on the device is further expandable up to 2TB using a microSD card. All of this is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that supports Moto's Turbocharge technology. The Moto X4 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and will be soon updated to Android Oreo.
The Moto X4 is IP68 certified which makes it dust and water resistant. As for the connectivity, the smartphone comes with a Type-C USB port, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5 with A2DP, LE, aptX, and EDR support and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

As for the optics, the Moto X4 features a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 12-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The rear camera supports phase detection autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. Up front, there is a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash for selfies and video calling.
Price and Availability
The Moto X4 will be available exclusively via the e-commerce website Flipkart. The smartphone will also be available at Moto Hubs. The base variant of the Moto X4 with 3GB RAM will retail for Rs. 20,999 while the 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 22,999. The device will go on sale starting tonight at 11:59 PM.
