Nokia 3310 feature phone with 3G network support launched

HMD Global launched the Nokia 3310 a few months ago bring back the glorious days of feature phones. The Nokia 3310 instantly grabbed attention as its older variant was very popular at its own time. The revamped feature phone was initially introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2017. The new Nokia 3310 brought up new colour variants and an overhaul in terms of the looks and specifications. The one thing which did not change from the previous generation was the 2G network only. This is a major issue in 2017 where companies like Reliance Jio don't even offer 2G or 3G. However, Nokia came up with a solution and has finally announced the 3G compatible variant of the feature phone.

Telecom operators in the countries like Singapore and Australia have already ditched 2G network in lieu of 3G and 4G. While the 3G version of the feature phone was being launched, Pekka Rantala from HMD Global commented that they have already sold millions of units of the new Nokia 3310.

The Nokia 3310 features a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240x320 pixels. The feature phone comes with 64MB of storage which is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. For the optics, the phone comes with a 2-megapixel camera at the back with a LED flash. All of this is backed by a 1,200mAh battery.

The new version of the Nokia 3310 3G will be retailed at a price of EUR 69 which roughly converts to Rs. 5,300. The feature phone will be available in Azure, Charcoal, Warm Red and Yellow colour variants.
