Nokia slashes prices of the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 8 Sirocco and other phones

HMD Global slashes the prices of some of the Nokia smartphones. Here's everything you need to know about the price cut

HMD Global recently launched a couple of new smartphones in India including the Nokia 3.1 Plus. As the new phones are here, the company decided to slash down the prices of some of the older smartphones. Here are the new pricing details for some of the mid-range and flagship Nokia smartphones.

To begin with, the Nokia 3.1 (3GB+32GB) which was launched at a price of Rs. 11,999 will now be available for Rs. 10,999. The Nokia 5.1 has received a price cut of Rs. 1,500 bringing its price down from Rs. 14,499 to Rs. 12,999. Notably, the recently launched the Nokia 5.1 Plus and the Nokia 3.1 Plus currently retail for Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 11,499 respectively.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is currently selling for Rs. 15,999 which is why HMD Global had to bring down the prices of the Nokia 6.1. The Nokia 6.1 is now available for Rs. 13,499 and Rs. 16,499 for the 32GB and 64GB variants respectively. The Nokia 6.1 was launched in India for a starting price fo Rs. 16,999.

HMD Global has even slashed the price of the flagship Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphone. The flagship was launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 49,999. The phone has seen a price cut of Rs. 13,000 which brings down its price to Rs. 36,999.

Meanwhile, HMD Global is now gearing up to launch a new smartphone soon, the Nokia 8.1. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM.
