Vivo is gearing up to launch its new flagship smartphone series in India, the Vivo Nex series of devices. It first unveiled the Vivo Nex S and Nex A back in May this year both of will be making a debut in the Indian market on July 19.
Vivo has already rolled out media invites for the launch event set for July 19. The invite reads “Block Your Date” and shows a teaser image of the upcoming smartphone. The image clearly shows the pop-up camera and NEX brand. However, it is unclear whether the company is launching both the Nex S and Nex A or only one of these devices.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Vivo Nex S and Nex A feature a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2316 pixels. The Nex S is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC while the Nex A comes with a Snapdragon 710 chipset. The Nex S and Nex A come with 8GB and 6GB of RAM respectively. Both the smartphones are available in 128GB storage options.
The Vivo Nex S and Nex A run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4 out of the box. Both the smartphones come with a 4,000mAh battery under the hood.

On the optics front, both the smartphones sport a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel camera that pops out only when required.
The Vivo Nex A is available in China at a starting price of CNY 3898 which roughly converts to Rs. 40,500. However, the price might be a bit on the higher side considering the trend Vivo has followed till date.
