Messaging giant, WhatsApp just a few days ago released the WhatsApp business for public usage. Now the WhatsApp Business app has debuted in India. The new app offers a simple way for the businesses. It helps them to communicate with their clients and customers in an easy manner. Facebook-owned WhatsApp unveiled its plans to launch a standalone app for business back in September last year. The new app for business is targetted at SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) has only arrived in a handful of markets till now. What's more interesting than this, is the app was tested in India and Brazil ahead of its public release.
The WhatsApp Business app is available for free download via Google Play in India. It is compatible with Android 4.0.3 or later only. However, it is still restricted to Android only. A similar app for iOS is expected soon enough.

Features of the new WhatsApp application
WhatsApp Bussiness is targeted at small businesses. The new app allows companies to connect with their customers and be a part of the messaging platform that has over 1.3 billion users worldwide. Loaded with features like the business address, website and other features it allows for a more seamless communication with the client or customer. It allows for quick replies along with auto responses and other features. Further, there are metrics inbuilt. For finding out how many messages have been read to date not only from your mobile phone but also from your desktop. WhatsApp also plans to include bigger companies over time and add verified accounts to help customers and client know that the information stated is correct.
However, the new app is not so much different from the older app. Like the original WhatsApp, the new business app allows businesses to set privacy for their profile photo, about information, and status as well as lets them block any of their contacts and enable read receipts. The app also has live location sharing features to help customers find them a little easier. It also has end-to-end encryption to help business keep their secrets from leaking online.
