Xiaomi has been working on the MIUI 10 update from a long time now. The company has now rolled out the stable MIUI 10 ROM for around 12 Xiaomi smartphones. The new update is based on Android 8.1 Oreo instead of the latest Android 9 Pie. However, it does borrow a few features from the Pie like gesture navigation.
The list of Xiaomi devices that have started to receive the MIUI 10 update include the recently launched budget smartphones, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6 Pro. The Xiaomi Mi Mix and the Redmi Note 5 are two other smartphones in India that have the MIUI 10 ROM available. Even the Mi Note 2, Mi 8SE, Mi MIX 2, Redmi S2, Mi 6, Mi 6X and the Mi 5 are on the list.
How to install the update
If you have one the above-mentioned smartphones then you can follow these steps to get the latest update

In case you have not received the update, you will have to wait for a few days until the company rolls out the update in your region.
MIUI 10 Features
One of the most noticeable changes with the MIUI 10 is the gesture-based navigation. It allows you to gain more screen real estate by giving up on the traditional navigation bar. It also brings in a redesigned Recents menu and a new volume slider and notification panel which are inspired by Android Pie. Apart from all these features, the update brings Android 8.1 Oreo which has its own set of features like Autofill, picture-in-picture mode and much more.
