Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 to soon start receiving MIUI 10 update

Xiaomi has started rolling out the stable version of the latest MIUI 10 for its Redmi series smartphones. As the more recent devices like Redmi Note 5 Pro have started receiving the update, the company is now working on the update for older devices. Xiaomi has just confirmed that it will be rolling out a stable version of MIUI 10 for the much popular Redmi Note 4 by mid-October.

Alongside the Redmi Note 4, the Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5A will also start receiving the update next month. As per a post on Mi Forums, these budget smartphones will be updated sometime around mid-October. The new update will bring major improvements to the performance of these devices. It will also bring features based on Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

MIUI 10 will also bring gesture-based navigation which will allow you to get even more screen real estate. The new update will have an improved notification shade a newly designed recents menu. The update also brings improvements to the camera as there will be an AI portrait mode which will give a bokeh effect to the images taken.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Specifications

As for the specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. The dual-SIM handset packs in 3GB or 4GB of RAM coupled with 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. All of this is backed by a 4,100mAh battery.
