Here is why you need to skip all the flagship smartphones and get the Google Pixel 2

Google recently launched the much-awaited Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Both the smartphones come with stock Android giving a fluid software experience. The smartphones also have a great camera that has received a whopping 98 rating on the DXO benchmarks. Apart from the great camera and the fluid experience, here are few reasons why you should prefer the Google Pixel 2 over other flagship smartphones.

Pixel 2 series

1.) Augmented Reality Stickers

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL come with a type of hardware that is made ready for Augmented Reality. Google has now brought Augmented stickers to its latest smartphones which will add virtual characters and playful emojis directly into photos and videos. Google will also be constantly updating the sticker collection like currently, it has BB-8 and R2-D from Star Wars which is trending.

To access the sticker you just need to open up the camera app, switch to AR Stickers mode, choose a sticker pack and drop them into the scene. You can also move, resize and rotate the stickers, and they even interact with other characters in the scene. The pictures and videos taken can then be shared via social media

2.) Google Lens

Whenever Google brings down a new feature, Pixel or Nexus users and usually the first to try them out and others do not get it for a couple of months. With the new Pixel 2 device, Google has introduced Google Lens in the Google Assistant so users can learn more about the world around them. Google Lens is really helpful especially while travelling as it can tell you about different things or can translate text in real time.

3.) The taste of Oreo

As Android is developed by Google, Pixel or Nexus users are the first to taste a bite of the latest and greatest the company has to offer. As other OEM's like to add a few features and themes over the software, they take a few months after the release to release their version. Currently, only the Pixel and Nexus devices run on Android 8.1 Oreo while most of the devices are either running on 8.0 or some version of Android Nougat.

4.) A better Assistant

Being a product by Google, Google Assistant works way better on the new Pixel 2 devices. The squeeze feature offers a quick access to the Assistant which can then do a various set of operations. The Assistant now also speaks new languages, including Spanish and Italian.
