Apple iPhone 7 256GB officially dropped, Is Apple going to stop selling the iPhone 7 altogether

Apple had recently launched the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus alongside the iPhone X. Now as the newer generation of iPhone is here, Apple decided to discontinue the Apple iPhone 7 256GB variant. Apple has taken this bold move in order to boost the sales of their new iPhone 8. However, reports suggest that Apple stopped selling the 256GB variant of the iPhone 7 on September 12, when the iPhone 8 was launched.

iPhone 7 Plus

Another report that came earlier this month revealed that iPhone 7 was the most-selling smartphone around the globe in the first half of 2017. The second best-selling smartphone was its big brother, Apple iPhone 7 Plus. Since the launch of the new generations, the price of both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have dropped significantly.

However, iPhone 8 is still struggling to gain the set of popularity in the market as it does not bring a drastic improvement over the iPhone 7. Also, people are waiting for the iPhone X to go on sale which has caught the attention of many because of its design. iPhone 8 brings glass-back, wireless charging and few other improvements, while the iPhone X is a whole new concept.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Apple iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch display while the 7 Plus sports a larger 5.5-inch display. Both the smartphone are powered by the Apple A10 Fusion chipset. The iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus come with 2GB and 3GB of RAM respectively. As for the optics, both the smartphones come with a 7-megapixel front-facing camera. The iPhone 7 comes with a 12-megapixel camera at the back with a dual tone LED flash while the 7 Plus comes with a 12-megapixel dual-camera setup at the back with a dual tone LED flash.
