Apple iPhone X spotted on Geekbench with surprising results

Apple recently launched the iPhone X alongside the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are just updated versions of the currently available iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. iPhone X is a whole new device with a lot of new features and a whole new design language. Besides the new design language, iPhone X comes with some really powerful specifications under the hood. Surprisingly we have seen that Apple's new flagship has beaten up the Samsung Galaxy S8 in both single-core and multi-core performance tests on Geekbench.

iPhone X managed to score 4188 in single-core and 10069 in the multi-core performance test. Samsung Galaxy S8 lacks behind with almost half of the scores at 2024 and 6719 for the single-core and multi-core performance test respectively.

These reports suggest that the Apple's new A11 Bionic chipset is much faster and powerful than its competitors. Also, the last years A10 Fusion chip is still ahead of the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 in terms of benchmark scores which is surprising to see. However, scores are just numbers to compare devices on paper and it would be interesting to see who the new iPhones would perform in the real-life usage scenarios.

According to the latest Geekbench listings, the iPhone X runs on iOS 11 and comes with 3GB of RAM which is similar to what we saw on the iPhone 8 Plus's listings.

Apple iPhone X features a 5.8-inch OLED display which is a bezel-less display panel. The smartphone is powered by Apple's new A11 Bionic chipset coupled with the new M11 motion coprocessor for the graphics. As claimed by Apple, the new A11 Bionic chip is 70 percent faster than last year’s  A10 Fusion chipset. Apple did not discuss the RAM or the battery capacity of the smartphone during the launch. However, the listings claim that the new iPhone X comes with 3GB of RAM.
