Soon after Asus launched their ROG Phone 2, Black Shark has come up with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus powered Black Shark 2 Pro gaming smartphone. While the smartphone looks quite similar to the older version from the outside, the device has received a ton of changes on the inside. Here's everything you need to know about the new gaming smartphone.
Black Shark 2 Pro features a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels. The gaming smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. As for the storage, the device comes with either 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage, which supports the faster USF 3.0 standard.
As for the optics, the all-new gaming smartphone sports a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 48-megapixel primary and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor. Upfront, there is a 20-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
Just like the Black Shark 2, the Pro variant also comes with RGB lighting at the back and an under-display fingerprint scanner. Also, the device gets a massive 4,000mAh battery under the hood, which supports 27W fast charging.

The gaming smartphone runs on Google's Android 9 Pie operating system. It will be available in China starting August 2 in Black, Silver, Blue, Orange and Purple colour variants. The 128GB and 256GB variants will be available for a price of CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 30,000) and CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 35,000) respectively.
Meanwhile, Asus recently launched its Snapdragon 855 Plus powered ROG Phone 2. So, the new Black Shark phone is an answer to Asus's recently launched smartphone. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor brings 15% better graphics performance over the regular Snapdragon 855 chip.
