BookMyShow launches music streaming and digital radio app

BookMyShow on Thursday launched a new digital music streaming apps. The app is called Jukebox which offers its users downloadable songs and a digital radio service. The app even comes with curated BookMyShow original audio shows and licenced content.

The app will let its users choose audio entertainment offers from Horror, Sports, Bollywood, News and Business, Kids, Comedy, Music, Entertainment (story-telling, drama, mystery etc.), History, and Mythology & Devotion genres. The company claims that the app will offer around 2,000 hours of on-demand audio content for free. This service has been kept totally free by the company. Even the download and listen offline option has also been kept totally free.

To make the experience unique for each listener, we will use a mix of machine and deep learning to understand user preferences and offer content suggestions in line with them. The app will feature content from multiple languages including English, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Oriya.  The apps will also have over 60 talk shows which will have a daily or weekly cycle depending on the show.

The app will also allow its users to save data when they don't have much left in their internet plans by offering different streaming speed options - Data Saver, Normal, Good, High Definition.

Android users can download the app right now from the Play Store. However iOS users will have to wait a bit as the company is yet to launch the app in the App Store.
