OnePlus is now gearing up to launch their next flagship smartphone of the year, the OnePlus 6T. The company unveiled the OnePlus 6 back in June and just after around 5 months, the company is ready to show off their next flagship killer. The OnePlus 6T is said to launch sometime in October 2018.
Specifications
As for the specifications, the OnePlus 6T will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with the Adreno 630 GPU. The dual-sim handset will pack in up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It is said to come with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels. The display will have a water drop style notch which we have seen on smartphones like Oppo F9 Pro. The device will run on Android 9 Pie out of the box. Under the hood, there will be a 3,500mAh battery.
On the camera front, the OnePlus 6T is rumoured to come with a triple camera set up at the back consisting of a 20-megapixel, a 12-megapixel and a TOF 3D sensor. Up front, there will be a 25-megapixel selfie shooter.

One of the most noticeable changes with the OnePlus 6T will be the in-display fingerprint scanner. We have seen a few Vivo smartphones having an in-display fingerprint scanner and now the technology is coming to the masses with a more popular brand among enthusiasts. The in-display fingerprint scanner would not be as fast as the traditional one but we will have to wait for the OnePlus 6T to test that out.
Another noticeable change will be the lack of the headphone jack. OnePlus, during the launch of the OnePlus 6, was proud to state that they are one of the last brands to have a headphone jack on their flagship smartphone. Sadly, the company has now officially stated that there will be no headphone jack on the OnePlus 6T. However, as more people are now emerging towards the wireless audio world, this should not be a major problem for most.

As there will be no 3.5mm headphone jack in OnePlus' upcoming smartphone, the company has also announced that they will soon be launching the OnePlus Bullets Type-C. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer believes that USB Type-C can deliver a better audio performance than the tradition 3.5mm headphone jack. The new OnePlus Bullets Type-C will be launched alongside the OnePlus 6T.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the OnePlus 6T is said to come at a starting price of USD 569 (roughly Rs. 41,300) and the top-end variant might cost upwards of USD 650 (roughly Rs. 47,200). A recent set of leaks suggest that the smartphone will be unveiled at an event on October 17 in India.
