Google Assistant can now speak and understand Hindi

Google, just launched an update to the Google Assistant. The new update lets you interact with it entirely in Hindi. It doesn't bring a lot of new features, but it brings an entire language to use. You can now fire up the Google Assistant and talk to it in Hindi. Earlier, You have to use English only

“The Google Assistant is truly Indian, it’s your helpful dost that speaks our language and understands the things you care about, from finding biryani recipes, to pulling up the latest cricket score or finding directions to the nearest ATM. In order to make it even more useful to Indians over time, developers and businesses can now build Actions for the Hindi Assistant through the developer platform Actions on Google. Once an action is built, you can just say “Ok Google, talk to” and access the service or content straight through your Google Assistant.”

-Purvi Shah, Technical Program Manager for Google Assistant

The new Hindi Assistant is powered by Machine Learning and Natural language processing as the original. This means it can help context, and the intent of the messages way better than normal Assistants. This enables you to maintain a conversation like commands with the software. Also, it learns based on usage, so it will get better with time.
