Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are expected to launch on October 4 as per a teaser the company has released. The teaser has been put up by Google on their Made by Google website. It says "Thinking about changing phones? Stay tuned for more on October 4." This teaser is extremely vague and might point towards anything like the Pixel 2 launch or even the acquisition of HTC which has been rumoured for some time now. However, we feel that Google is extremely likely to launch its flagship devices, the Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel 2 XL on that day.
As of now, we know that both the new Pixel smartphones that the company will be launching will be their flagship offering for the year. It is also expected that these will go up against the recently launched flagship devices like - Apple iPhone X, iPhone 8, LG V30, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and much more.

The company released this teaser just two days after Apple launched its three new iPhone offerings in the market - iPhone X, iPhone 8, and the iPhone 8 Plus. It seems as if the company is trying to steer people towards purchasing their product instead of Apple's. Reports have also stated that the company has started to put up billboards regarding the same. The company to educate the people more about their new smartphones has even placed a banner on their search home page where it states "Ask more of your phone. Oct. 4".
