Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched its flagship smartphone, the Honor View 20 globally at an event held in Paris. The device was initially launched last month in China with the name Honor V20. This is the first smartphone from the company to feature a hole punch display to house the selfie camera.
Honor View 20 two RAM/internal storage variants - 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage. The 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage variant is priced at EUR 569 (approximately Rs. 46,000) and the 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage variant is priced at EUR649 (approximately Rs. 53,000).
The 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage variant is only available in the Moschino design edition with Phantom Blue and Phantom Red colour options. Whereas, the lower spec model is available in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue colour options.
The device will be made available in 18 countries including India starting January 23. However, the company has set the India launch date for the Honor View 20 for January 29. The company also took advantage of this global launch event by also launching its new Honor Watch Magic, Honor Watch Dream, Honor Band 4 and Honor FlyPods Lite at the event.

Key features of the device include the punch hole display, a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, Kirin 980 processor and a 4,000mAh battery. Other features include GPU Turbo 2.0 technology and an exclusive Honor Guard Fortnite Outfit that you can only get by purchasing an Honor View 20.
Honor View 20 sports a 6.4-inch full HD+ TFT LCD display with a resolution of 2310x1080 pixels. It is powered by the company's latest HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor paired with a liquid cooling system and GPU Turbo 2.0 technology to keep the gamers happy.

In terms of storage, the device features 6GB/8GB of RAM paired with 128/256GB of internal storage. The storage isn't expandable via a microSD card, so it is recommended that you choose the variant you want to purchase wisely. It runs the company's own Magic UI 2.0 skin layered on top of Google's Android 9.0 Pie operating system. All of this is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
Coming to the optics, Honor View 20 sports a dual camera setup on the back. This setup consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture paired with a secondary 3D Time of Flight (ToF) sensor. On the front, it features a 25-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies.
