Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite set to launch in India on April 24: Here's what you need to know

Huawei unveiled the P20, P20 Pro, P20 Lite and the P20 Porche design back in March. The company is now finally bringing the Huawei P20 Pro and the P20 Lite to India. Huawei has already rolled out media invites for an event set for April 24.

Out of the four phones in the P20 series, Huawei is most likely to launch only the popular P20 Pro and the cheaper P20 Lite. As the phones have already launched in other markets, we already know what the specifications are. However, we will need to wait for April 24 to know the Price and Availability details. It is also being speculated that the smartphone will be exclusively available via Amazon in India.

Huawei P20 Pro

The Huawei P20 Pro features a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2240 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by the company's homegrown HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. The device packs in 6GB of RAM coupled with 128GB of onboard storage. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

On the optics front, the Huawei P20 Pro sports a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 40MP, a 20MP and an 8MP camera sensor with f/1.8, f/1.6 and f/2.4 aperture respectively. Up front, there is a 24-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

The Huawei P20 Lite 5.84-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2280 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC. The device packs in 4GB of RAM coupled with 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

In terms of cameras, the P20 Lite sports a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the back. Up front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie snapper.
