HMD Global has finally launched the Nokia 2 at a launch event held in India. The Nokia 2 is a budget-friendly device which offers great build-quality and great battery life. Just like the other smartphones from the company, the Nokia 2 is also made out of a single piece of 6,000 series aluminium. The smartphone has been launched globally through this launch event and the handsets will hit the shelves of Indian markets first.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Nokia 2 features a 5-inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The display on the smartphone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. The device packs in 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage which is further expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.The phone is backed by a 4,100mAh battery for which the company claims a 2-day battery life. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The smartphone will also get an update to Android 8.0 Oreo soon.

Sensors on the device include an Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and E-compass. As for connectivity, the smartphone offers LTE, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, FM and micro USB.
As for the optics, the Nokia 2 sports an 8-megapixel primary camera with a LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
The Nokia 2 will go on sale starting mid-November at a price of EUR 99 which roughly converts to Rs. 7,500.
