Nokia Lumia 1020

Nokia Lumia 1020 | 41 MP Camera | Windows Phone 8

Nokia Lumia 1020 has been the most anticipated Nokia Phone since a long time that is why we think they had leaked the specifications so much through bloggers and other websites.

While we were attending the event we thought that after so many leaks Nokia would reveal a newer design that is way different than that of the leaks, but we were really disappointed when we saw that the design still remains the same as the leaked photos.

But still the phone did not let us down as when Stephen Elop started to demonstrate the capabilities of the phone we were astounded and astonished as they were far ahead of time and the leaks, but still the thing we liked the most was still the thing that was leaked and that is the 41 MP Camera that can take pictures looking same and giving the same feel as a premium DSLR.

Camera Quality

Personally i have been using Nokia Pure View 808 and it is been so wonderful using it, and whenever i needed to take any photos i always took out my Nokia 808 and started clicking and really i could not ditch it as it is having the best camera quality that i have used till now that also matching my best DSLR, but carrying a DSLR everywhere was the most difficult thing for me but after i got my Nokia 808 taking photos have been just a slide in my pocket away.

And when i tried out the new Nokia Lumia 1020 i saw that the camera was the same but with the windows phone improvements like the low light imaging and much more.

Phone Build

The phone build is great and has went mainly on it's predecessors like the Nokia Lumia 920 and 928, but still has adopted a lot of its build and work from the Nokia Pure View 808. The Poly-carbonate body is very good and appeals a lot to the eye, Nokia has learnt a lot from the 808 and know that size does matter and they have reduced the camera bulge to a huge extent. But, i still think that Nokia could have provided us with a Full HD Screen like the Pure View 808.

Price

Nokia has kept the price feature in mind and says that the phone will be launched around a mere price of $300 that is quite a nice grab for all of us, But still we cannot say anything till the phone arrives in the market officially.

Pros

  • The Hunch on the back has been lessened alot that helps in holding the phone more appropriately and it does not feel odd as nothing that big is bulging out from the back of your phone.
  • Camera has a lot of new controls which are great and helpful.
  • Shutter speed very high as close to 4 seconds or 1/16000.
  • The 720p display looks great as compared to others.

Cons

  • Windows Phone 8 is not a great platform as it has a lot of limitations.
  • Mediocre O/S
