Top 5 Android Mobiles

Every day there is a new handset making their way into the market and the smartphone industry has grown by such great leaps and bounds, that every single company wants a piece of that pie and that has paved the way for die hard, cut throat competition. So along with the foreign companies having their presence here, even the Indian companies are expanding in and launching some great flagships with really awesome hardware inside at a very low cost.

Today we are seeing the top 5 android mobiles from Indian brands.

1.  Micromax Canvas HD

Truly by far the market leader in India among domestic phone makers, Micromax has brand recognition like none other; maybe the first Indian company to eat into Nokia’s market share before the entry of Samsung. Its current flagship, the Canvas HD has been consistently selling like hot cakes which even led to huge waiting periods due to non-availability of the phone. The phone is a sleek piece with some awesome configuration for its price. A 5” IPS LCD with 1280 X 720 pixels at 294 ppi., 1.2 GHz Quad core Cortex-A7 processor and 1 GB RAM coupled with 3G, 2000 mAh large battery and 8MP primary and 2MP secondary camera, this phone is literally a top class phone and a steal for its price. The phone sits right in the middle of the Micromax mobile price list, making it a highly attractive buy.

2. Karbonn Titanium S5

Karbonn is comparatively a new entrant in the market but has not failed to make its mark within no time. It started out with some budget smartphones and quickly moved on to high end phones still in the budget range. Best price has always been its strong point and has managed to provide stiff competition to other companies. Its flagship the Titanium S5 has created a stir in the good sense of course. It has a 5” IPS LCD qHD screen with 540 x 960 pixels resolution at 220 ppi. It has a 1.2 GHz Quad core CPU and Adreno 203 GPU. Along with that it has 1GB of RAM, 2000 mAh battery that lasts long and 8MP primary and 2MP secondary camera.

3. Lava Iris 504q

Lava is a new entrant to the smartphone market. It earlier partnered with Xolo but now has launched an independent phone. The Iris 504q has some interesting new features like Gesture Controlled which is found in only premium phones. It has a 5” IPS LCD screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution at 294 ppi., 1.2 GHz Quad core ARMv7 CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 2000 mAh battery and 8MP primary and 2MP secondary camera.

4. Xolo Q1000

Another one from the same club, the Q1000 is pretty much similar to the Micromax and Lava flagships. The Q1000 has a 5” IPS LCD screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution at 294 ppi. It has under it a 1.2 GHz Quad core CPU, PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 1 GB RAM and a 2100 mAh battery for the powerful GPU. It has an 8MP primary and 1.2MP secondary camera, 3G and many other features.

5. Intex Aqua I-5

The newest entrant to the league, Intex has promised to offer a bit extra than the rest and they have actually delivered. It has a 5” qHD display like the Karbonn Titanium S5 and runs on a 1.2 GHz Quad core Cortex A7 processor, SGX 5t GPU, 1 GB RAM, 2000 mAh battery. You might wonder what is extra here, but here it is. It has a 12MP primary and 2MP secondary camera on it. Also with its steal price of INR 10,999/- on, it sure packs a lot extra for the price.

We saw the top 5 android phones from Indian brands. There are many others in the pipeline to arrive yet like the Micromax Canvas 4, Karbonn S6, etc. which are touted to have a full HD screen and 13 MP cameras. But they are yet a long way till they arrive in the stores. And also it is a note to be made that all the above mentioned phones are sub 20,000 phones whereas phones from large phone makers like HTC, Samsung, etc. charge above 30,000 for phones with similar configuration.
