OnePlus recently made a promise that they will bring Android Oreo to their last year's flagships OnePlus 3 and 3T. Now it feels good to see that a company like OnePlus keeps up to its promise after a lot of arguments made on the OnePlus 2's Android Nougat update. A few weeks ago, there were reports that Android Oreo is being tested for the OnePlus 3 and 3T under a closed beta program. Now the company has officially released the Android 8.0 Oreo update as a part of Open Beta program for the OnePlus 3 and 3T.
The update can be downloaded from the official website of OnePlus. The update is available as Open Beta 16 for the 3T and the Open Beta 25 for the OnePlus 3. If you are not already on Open Beta, you will need to download the whole file which weighs around 1.4GB. However, if you are already on an older version of Open Beta, the OTA update will weigh at around 869MB. In case you want to know how to flash the Open Beta version on your stock OnePlus 3/3T, here is How to install OxygenOS Official Open Beta on your OnePlus 3/3T. Also, do keep in mind that as it is in Beta, it might contain bugs and issues.
