WhatsApp
WhatsApp is one of the most popular cross-platform messaging application

Facebook-owned WhatsApp has rolled a new update for the Apple iOS users. The 2.18.51 update brings a couple of new features to the table. The new features now allow iPhone users to play YouTube, Facebook and Instagram videos within the WhatsApp app itself.

Earlier, if the users clicked on Instagram or Facebook videos they were redirected to their respective apps or browser links. WhatsApp text that can crash the application: Here's everything you need to know

Facebook-owned WhatsApp is a popular application around the globe used for sending free text messages over the internet. Currently, there is some bug in the application that is potentially crashing the application and here's everything you need to know about it.

A text message is being circulated currently which when opened can simply crash your WhatsApp application. The text message says, If you touch the black point then your WhatsApp will hang.” There is a black dot emoji included in the message and if the user touches the dot, the smartphone will hang and ultimately the application will crash.

Why does this happen?

Technically, if you will convert that WhatsApp message into Unicode, you will find RLM instead of LRM. RLM is used for languages like Arabic and Urdu while English and Hindi use LRM. So, as your text is shown in English but comes with RLM, it cannot understand the codes properly and ends up crashing the whole application.

How to prevent this from happening?

If you receive such text and you see a preview of it, just do not open the text. Instead, go ahead and delete the whole chat of the person who sent you the message. You can simply do this by heading over to WhatsApp and then long-press on that particular contact. Once the contact is selected, just tab on the Bin icon shown next to the pin icon up top.
