Samsung recently started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the flagship Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The software was first introduced under the Beta stage and then the official firmware was rolled out. Sadly enough, soon after the rollout, the company had to suspend the update due to a few bugs. Users who updated to Android 8.0 Oreo reported their devices are getting randomly rebooted. Samsung is working on a fix and should soon start rolling out the update again.
If you have already updated your device, there is nothing much to worry. Samsung, along with a fresh Oreo update, will also roll out a small update for those who are already on Android 8.0. This minor update will fix any bugs and make the software a more stable one. When the company finally rolls out the update, here's how you can download and install the update on your Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+.
Before beginning with the procedure, we would strongly recommend you to backup your data. Also, it is recommended that your phone is charged to at least a 50 percent for an uninterrupted installation process.
Here's how to install Android 8.0 Oreo
1.) First of all, as soon as Samsung begins rolling out the update, you should receive a notification saying that an update is available.
2.) However, if you do not see such notification, you can head over to the Settings > Software Update > Download Updates Manually in order to check for any new updates.
3.) Once you have an update ready you will see a window showing a detailed information about the software update. Here, you just need to tap on download. The file size will be around 1.4GB which might take some time to download.
4.) After the software is downloaded, you can hit install which will allow your phone to reboot and do the installation process. Do note that during the installation process you will not be able to use your Galaxy S8 or S8+. Also, the installation process can take around 15-20 mins or in some cases even more than that
5.) Voila! Now your Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ is running on Android 8.0 Oreo-based Samsung Experience 9.0.

Moto, on Thursday, launched the much awaited Moto Z2 Force in India. The smartphone is another variant of the Z line-up of flagships from the company. The biggest highlight of the device is its shatterproof display. In addition to the shatterproof display, the smartphone has a lot more. Here's why we think you should buy the Moto Z2 Force at Rs. 34,999.
P-OLED Display
The Moto Z2 Force comes with a 5.5-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. OLED display looks so much better than the normal IPS LCD panels seen on some phones at a similar price range. Blacks on the OLED display look better as the pixels do not turn on. These displays also help the smartphone in achieving a longer battery life.
Shatterproof
One of the biggest selling points of the Moto Z2 Force is its shatterproof display. Shatterproof displays do not break easily and with such displays, the phone does not remain fragile anymore. This makes the user feel much more comfortable to use the phone without any case or screen protector. Interestingly, the company also provides a 4-year warranty for the Moto ShatterShield display.
Software
Moto always provides a nearly stock Android experience with their smartphones. The Moto Z2 Force comes with Android Oreo out of the box giving the latest software experience to the customers. Stock Android also ensures faster updates and better performance of the smartphone.
Modularity
Moto Z2 Force is known for the shatterproof display, but it also belongs to the Z line-up. The Z family from Moto is popular for its modularity. The smartphones come with a 16-pin connector at the back which allows users to use the Moto Mods with their smartphones. The Moto Z2 Force, in India, comes bundled with a Moto TurboPower Mod. The smartphone can take advantage of the extra battery from the TurboPower Mod. There are more Moto Mods available in the market including the Hasselblad True Zoom and JBL Sound Boost.
The Moto Z2 Force comes with a 12-megapixel dual camera setup at the back. The smartphone, with the dual camera setup, is capable of capturing some pretty amazing pictures. The Z2 Force can also take advantage of the second camera at the back to bring the portrait effect. The smartphone also comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with dual-tone dual-LED flash. The dual-LED flash up front helps in getting pretty good selfies even under low lighting conditions.
Samsung recently started rolling out the much-awaited Android Oreo update to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ were the first smartphones from the company to receive the Oreo update. However, the update was suspended soon after the rollout. Many people, including our team at BeetelBite, have already updated their devices to the latest firmware.
What's the problem?
Initially, there were no words by Samsung as of why the update has been suspended. Samsung came forward on Thursday and explained why the update has been stopped. As per the company, some users who updated their devices reported that their Galaxy S8 and S8+ were facing unexpected reboots after updating to Android Oreo. However, we at BeetelBite did not notice any such problems with our device after the update.
Samsung addressed the issue by saying, "Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update,"
"We are investigating the issue internally to ensure that the impact to the affected devices is minimized and the rollout of the update can resume as quickly as possible," they further added.
Android Oreo update has brought problems with it for different OEM's. Xiaomi started rolling out the update for Mi A1 which was halted soon after. Another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus, also stopped the OnePlus 5T's update soon after the rollout. Xiaomi and OnePlus have already fixed the issues and have rolled out the stable versions of the software. Samsung is also expected to soon fix the issue and start rolling out the update again. People who have already updated their Galaxy S8 or S8+ will receive a fix via a minor update.
