Realme is currently working on another OTA update for the Realme 2 Pro smartphone. The new update is expected bring in a major bug fix, where users were complaining about constant battery drain even when the device is in an ideal state. Also, it is being said that the company is working on the Android 9 Pie update for Realme 2 Pro, which should arrive sometime in 2019.
It is reported by the users that battery drain issue was being caused due to the TouchPal keyboard app. The app comes pre-installed with the smartphone and cannot be uninstalled. The reports claim that force closing the keyboard app and using an alternative keyboard fixes the issue. However, this is not the fix what users are looking for. So, a new update is in the works, which will bring a fix for the same. Apart from the fix, the update also brings the latest December security patch.
Alongside the small update, Realme is also working on Android 9 Pie update for the Realme 2 Pro. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently mentioned that in a recent tweet. The major update is expected to arrive sometime in Q1, 2019. It should bring all the goodness that Google has introduced in the operating system, including gesture based navigation, Digital Well-being and much more.

Realme 2 Pro Specifications
Realme 2 Pro sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a waterdrop notch. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with Adreno 512 GPU for graphics. It packs in up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable using a microSD card. All of this is backed by a 3,500mAh battery and the phone currently runs on Android 8.1 Oreo based ColorOS.

As for the optics, Realme 2 Pro sports a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 16-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Up front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Realme 2 Pro is currently available at a starting price of Rs. 13,990. While the 6GB+64GB variant retails for Rs. 15,990, top of the line 8GB+128GB variant comes in with a price tag of Rs. 17,990.
