Realme X starts receiving new OTA update, bringing WiFi calling support, February 2020 Android Security Patch and more.
Realme has started rolling out new OTA update to its Realme X smartphone bringing VoWiFi (WiFi calling) support. This update brings the software version number to RMX1901EX_11_A.12 and has a total size of 2.79GB. Additionally, it adds February 2020 Android security patch.
The update does not bring Realme UI based on Android 10 into the mix, and the device is still staying at ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie.
Apart from WiFi calling and the February 2020 Android Security Patch, the update also brings updates for third-party applications, general bug fixes and overall system stability. The WiFi calling feature is now enabled for both Reliance Jio and Airtel users.
This update is being rolled out in phases to avoid server congestion. So your device might not get it till a later point of time. Do not worry Realme will be sending the update to your device soon. However, if you cannot wait for the OTA update to show up, you can head to their website, download the update files and manually install them onto your smartphone.
To check for the OTA update on your phone, you can head to Settings > System > System Updates. If the update shows up you can simply press download and install.
