Xiaomi is about to launch gaming smartphone, spotted on AnTuTu

Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant, likes to create a tough competition for its competitors. The smartphone manufacturer already makes some good budget smartphones as well as flagships. Now that Razer has created a new standard of gaming smartphones, Xiaomi again wants to create a competition. As per a recent report, Xiaomi is now working on a gaming smartphone which is currently being referred as "Blackshark".

Speculations suggest that the smartphone could be from Black Shark Technology. Xiaomi is already an investor in the company. The "Blackshark" device has been spotted on AnTuTu which gives us some of the key information about the device.

Specifications

As for the specifications, Xiaomi's new smartphone will come with high-end hardware under the hood. To start with, Blackshark is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with the Adreno 630 GPU. The smartphone features a Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device packs in 8GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of onboard storage. The smartphone is running on Google's Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

As the phone was spotted on benchmarking website AnTuTu, the benchmarks score received by the device is 270680. Notably, the score is higher than that of the Samsung Galaxy S9+. The Galaxy S9+ was recently spotted on AnTuTu with a score of 265276.

To recall, the Razer Phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. The gaming smartphone features a 5.7-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate. The device packs in 8GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
