Xiaomi's next flagship smartphone to come with wireless charging

Xiaomi has been a brand loved by many as it delivers great hardware at a reasonable price. Xiaomi has now been added to the Wireless Power Consortium, a company which is responsible for the popular Qi Wireless Charging. Xiaomi has not announced this officially yet, but the name is mentioned on the list of members of the Wireless Power Consortium.

Many companies are shifting towards the wireless charging nowadays as it is becoming more popular among the customers. Qi wireless charging is one of the most popular ways of charging the device and it is also easy to use as there is no mess of cables. Recently, Apple introduced its new line-up of smartphones including iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X Plus. With these new smartphones, the company has adopted the much awaited wireless charging technology.

Xiaomi will most likely debut the wireless charging feature with its upcoming flagship Mi 7. Leaks and reports suggest that the flagship Mi 7 will be announced somewhere in the first-quarter of 2018. As far as the specifications are concerned, the upcoming Mi 7 is rumoured to come with the unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The smartphone might feature a 6-inch full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.

However, we have not heard of any leaks or rumours pointing towards the wireless charging on the upcoming  Mi 7. We still have few months to go for the launch and hopefully we will get more leaks and rumours and will soon get information on the wireless charging.
