Samsung has been working on a new display technology called Infinity O Display. The company is said to showcase the tech first with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8s smartphone. It will be the first smartphone to feature an Infinity O Display and the first Samsung phone to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Infinity O display is basically a truely bezel-less display with a hole punched onto it for the front-facing camera. Galaxy Club has spotted the phone recently on a listing in the US FCC website. Further, the website claims that the device will sport an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and the camera will be punched onto the top left corner for the screen.
As for the specifications, Samsung Galaxy A8s is said to feature a 6.39-inch fullHD+ Infinity O display. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with Adreno 616 GPU. It is said to pack in 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable using microSD card. Samsung recently announced its OneUI and Galaxy A8s seems to be the first smartphone running it. Under the hood, there will be a 3,400mAh battery with fast charging support.
