Samsung has confirmed that it will be hosting its Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event on February 9. This is the company's first Galaxy Unpacked event this year and will be livestreamed via all official channels. We expect the company to launch the next-generation Galaxy S smartphones, likely to be called Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The invitation poster shared by the company sports the tagline: "The Epic Standard". The company goes on to say that it will be setting an "epic new standard for smartphones with the most noteworthy S series ever created." With this the company is also hinting at the fact that the new Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with a stylus, just like the Note series.

Samsung will be hosting its Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event on February 9 at 8:30 PM IST. The event will be livestreamed via the company's official Newsroom site, YouTube channel, and social media handles.

At the event, the company is expected to launch the Galaxy S22 series, which will include the vanilla Galaxy S22 variant, a larger screen model Galaxy S22+ and the flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra. All of these smartphones are expected to launch with either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC or the company's own Exynos 2200 SoC, depending on the market where the devices will be sold.

According to reports, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will ship with S-Pen compatibility and will also have a dedicated slot to hold the stylus when not in use, just like the Galaxy Note series. This could be true, considering that reports suggest that Samsung has merged the two smartphone lines, and last year we did not get to see it launch a Galaxy Note series device.

Apart from the Galaxy S22 series, the company will reportedly also launch its Galaxy Tab S8 lineup during the event. The lineup is expected to include the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. All of the tablets are said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
