Gionee the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched a new smartphone dubbed Gionee F205 Pro in India. The device is currently available on Flipkart and is priced at Rs. 6,990. However, the specifications don't justify the price the company is asking for the device.
The Gionee F205 Pro is the successor to the Gionee F205 launched back in 2017.
To recall, Gionee recently declared bankruptcy back in December after the company CEO accepted that he had used, company assets to gamble at a Hong Kong registered casino. It seems as if the company has bounced back from its bankruptcy and is resuming business once more. This appears to be its first smartphone since the debacle.
Gionee F205 Pro sports a 5.45-inch HD+ 2.5D curved display with a resolution of 1440x720 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739WW 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz.
The device comes with 2GB of RAM paired with 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. It runs Google's Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and is expected to have a 3rd party skin on top. All of this is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
Coming to the camera specifications, the Gionee F205 Pro sports a 13-megapixel primary sensor on the back with a 5P lens and an f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it features a 5-megapixel sensor with a 3P lens and an f/2.2 aperture. The device consists of an LED flash both on the front and the back.
