Lenovo might be looking to launch a gaming smartphone under its Legion sub-brand soon. The company has set up a new Weibo account for gaming phones under its Legion sub-brand. The approach seems quite similar to Asus with its Republic of Gamers (ROG) sub-brand.
The new Weibo account has its name written in Chinese, which according to Google Translate, translates to Saver Gaming Phone. The account is verified and owned by Lenovo Mobile Communications Technology (Beijing) Co Ltd.
Not much is known about the upcoming smartphone as of now. However, we expect the company to reveal major developments and news about the device via this new Weibo account. As of now, the company has shared random posts about mobile games on the handle.
To recall, Lenovo earlier this year confirmed that it is working on a phone which will be made available in early 2020.

According to reports, the device will either be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is also expected to feature a full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of at least 90Hz. However, we cannot confirm any of the reported specifications until the company confirms them.
The gaming smartphone industry is still quite small with only select manufacturers having their smartphones in this industry. The upcoming Legion smartphone will go up against devices from Asus, Black Shark, Razer and Nubia.
