Microsoft announces a new range of Surface devices

Microsoft has launched a wide range of products at an event today. The company has refreshed its lineup of Surface devices with the new hardware. While the design remains mostly the same, the company did introduce new colour options for the laptops, Alongside the devices, the company also announced that they will be rolling out the Windows 10 October 2018 update starting today.

Starting with the much-awaited Surface Pro 6, the new laptop comes with Intel 8th Gen processors and features a 12.3-inch PixelSense touchscreen display. The laptop will be available with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. The most shocking part about the device is the lack of a USB Type-C port which has become a necessity in 2018. The Surface Pro 6 will be available starting October 16 in the US for a starting price of USD 899 (roughly Rs. 65,500).

As far as the Surface Laptop 2 is concerned, the design of the laptop remains pretty much the same while the internals are updated. The laptop still has a 13.5-inch PixelSense Screen with a resolution of 2256x1504 pixels. The device comes with 8th Gen Intel Core processors coupled with up to 16GB of RAM. Notably, the base model starts with 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB on the previous generation. The laptop will be available at a starting price of USD 999 (roughly Rs. 72,000).

The Surface Studio is an All-in-One PC from Microsoft that is focused on creators as well as professional users. Just like the laptops, the design has remained pretty much the same while the specs have been updated. The new Surface Studio now comes with 8th Gen Intel Core processors and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 inside.

Apart from the laptops and desktop, the company pretty much surprised everyone by launching the all-new Surface Headphones. These headphones come in at a price of USD 349 (roughly Rs. 25,500). With the Surface headphones, Microsoft is gearing up to compete against the likes of Bose QuietComfort Series III headphones.
