How to read WhatsApp messages without the sender knowing about it

WhatsApp, a few months ago, introduced a feature called Read Receipts. The new feature allowed users to know whether the messages have been read or not. However, the feature was not received with much love. Since then there have been many queries by users whether they can read messages without the other person knowing or not.

Here are two simple ways to read messages without the other person knowing about it

Turn off Read Receipts

  • Open up WhatsApp
  • Tap on the three-dots on the top right corner
  • Click on Settings
  • Head over to Account>Privacy
  • Scroll down and uncheck the Read Receipts

Voila! Now the blue ticks are gone. However, there are a few limitations when you turn off Read Receipts. After turning off Read Receipts, you will not get blue ticks even on your sent messages. So, here is another simple trick for which you will not need to turn off Read Receipts.

Turn off Wi-Fi/Mobile Data

WhatsApp needs an active internet connection in order to send or receive the read receipts. So, you can simply head over to your smartphone setting and turn off Wi-Fi and Mobile Data. Once done, you can fire up the WhatsApp application and read the messages you wanted to read.

Turning off Wi-Fi or Mobile Data might not be the perfect solution for everyone. However, currently, these are the only two safe ways to get rid of the Read receipts. There are a number of apps available that promise to solve your problem, but rather they bring a lot of problems with them like unwanted ads and much more.

EaseUS Data Recovery Software Review for Mac

EaseUS offers many of the important utility services you might need for your computer. These services are offered for both Microsoft Windows and Apple’s MacOS. One of these services is a data recovery software. EaseUS’s data recovery software as the name suggests helps you to recover your deleted data. The company says it can recover data deleted due to anything. Let is be formatting, hard drive damage, accidental deletion, virus, and more. Also, EaseUS data recovery software has a free version. The free version for Mac satisfies the need for many of the people. However, is it the best in the market?

EaseUS Data Recovery

EaseUS data recovery recovers files deleted due to the accident, or a virus. However, what about data deleted due to other reasons. As claimed by the company, it can also recover data partition loss and hard disk failure. Also, all of this is available may it be the free version or the paid one. A lot of other software recovery software, especially free ones aren’t good enough. Also, if the company's claims of recovering the data from the crashed partition are true. This will be one of the best free software for this purpose.

EaseUS Data Recovery Software

Also, adding to the experience, the software is designed to be very intuitive and easy to use. That's a really good addition to the experience.

EaseUS Data Recovery suite’s effectiveness

For the sake of testing, we will recover data with different deletion scenario’s. The normal deletion can be recovered using recycle bin, so we will ignore that. Even if the data is deleted from the recycle bin, the software has no issue in recovering that.

EaseUS Data Recovery Software

We also recovered data from a formatted flash drive. The software had no issue even with doing that. We tested data deletion from a virus too. However, the virus had encrypted files before deletion. So the recovered data was encrypted. The software is for data recovery, not everything. However, we were surprised how good the software can perform.

How to use EaseUS Data Recovery?

Step 1: Download and Install

The first is to download the EaseUS Data Recovery software. After that, you need to follow the on-screen instructions to install the software. You can ignore the instructions. However, While installing it warns you not to install in the directory, you would like to recover the data if you lost data before the software installation. That's an instruction you don't want to ignore.

Step 2: Select the Partition and Scan

Once, the software has been installed, you can proceed to recover the data. From the main screen, that opens when you open the software, you need to select the partition and that's it. The scans happen automatically and all the deleted files come as a list.

Step 3: Recover the File

Once you have completed the scan, you need to find and select the files you want back. Once, you have figured that out, you need to locate recover button at the bottom right corner. The last step is to press that button. After that, you need to select the recovery directory, and you are good to go.

Conclusion

The EaseUS data recovery software works as well as the company advertises it. Also, its free for most of the home users work. So that's that. The only issue is the 500mb recovery cap. It can be extended to 2GB by sharing. Still, the 2GB cap is too low. We guess, they also need to make money right.
