Samsung is hosting an event on February 20, 2019, where they will unveil their first set of flagship smartphones of the year. The company will launch the Galaxy S10 series at the event, which will consist of at least three smartphones this year. We have had enough leaks and rumours, which has given us a rough idea on what these smartphones look like and what they will carry under the hood.

Samsung Galaxy S10+

Samsung Galaxy S10+ will be the largest and possibly the costliest device in the series. The smartphone will feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960x1440 pixels. The smartphone is expected to feature up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage. It will run on Android 9 Pie based One UI out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy S10 will come with a smaller display and a lower price tag. It is said to feature a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960x1440 pixels. The smartphone will be available with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. It will also run on the latest version of Android with One UI on top of it.

As for the optics, the Galaxy S10 is also expected to feature a triple camera setup at the back, which will include a  12-megapixel primary camera, a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. However, it will have a single camera up front for selfies.

This year Samsung is also expected to launch a Galaxy S10 Lite or Galaxy S10e, which will be a toned down version of the Galaxy S10. The South Korean giant is probably doing this to compete against Apple's iPhone XR. Unlike the curved displays on Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, this one will get a 5.8-inch flat design display. It will come with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy S10e is expected to feature a dual-camera setup at the back and a single camera on the front.

All the Samsung Galaxy S10 models will feature a punch hole design up front, which Samsung likes to call the Infinity O design. Also, the smartphones will be powered by the same processors. In the US, the devices will get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, while other parts of the world will get the Exynos 9820 variant. Both the processors will come with dedicated AI silicon chips.

Apart from the above mentioned three smartphones, the company might also unveil two more variants. These are expected to be the 5G variants of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus.
