PUBG's biggest competitor Fortnite is also constantly updating the game in order to bring new features to excite the players. Epic Games has just released the 7.20 update for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android versions of the game. It is a follow up to the last week's update and brings new patch, new items and fixes a few minor issues.

Fortnite is currently working on making the winter theme trendy since its competitor PUBG is focusing on Vikendi, a winter based map. The new 7.20 update brings in a Sneaky Snowman, which is a new disguise in the game. The company has even added a few classic items, which include the Quad Rocket Launcher, Port-A-fortress and the Grappler.

Apart from that, Fortnite has also introduced something called Sniper Shootout. The mode is available for a limited time period and here players will compete against each others using scoped weapons only. The mode gets new suppressed sniper rifles and legendary scoped pistols, which will come only via Supply Drops.

How to make the OnePlus 6T's in-display fingerprint scanner more accurate and faster

OnePlus 6T in-displayOnePlus 6T is the first OnePlus smartphone to sport an in-display fingerprint scanner

OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 6T, which was just an incremental upgrade over its predecessor OnePlus 6. One of the highlights of the new smartphone is its in-display fingerprint sensor, making it one of the first globally available smartphones to come with such a feature. Though the in-display fingerprint scanning sounds futuristic, it comes with its own flaws. It is significantly slower than its capacitive counterparts. Here's how you can make it much faster and more accurate right away.

Change the animation

OnePlus 6T comes with an optical sensor beneath the AMOLED display, which is used to scan fingerprints. It uses light that is thrown on your finger to capture the details clearly. By default, the OnePlus 6T comes with three different animations. None of them is as powerful, which leads to slower fingerprint reads.

However, the more recently launched OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition comes with a different animation style. It is much better and throws more light resulting in faster fingerprint reads. Not everyone has Rs. 13,000 extra to spare on a special edition smartphone. So, here's how you can get the new animation style on your regular OnePlus 6T.

Step 1: Download and Install "Settings Database Editor" from Google Play Store

Step 2: Open the application and make sure the second drop-down menu is set to System Table

Step 3: Scroll down and look for "op_custom_animation_style" and tap on it

Step 4: Now tap on "Edit Value" and change the value to 3.

Once done, hit save changes to enable the new in-display fingerprint scanner animation. We highly recommend carefully going through the above steps and not tinkering with any other values in the app as it can affect the way your phone works.

Multiple Fingerprint Registrations

In order to make the fingerprint reading more accurate, you can register one finger multiple times. In my case, I use the Right Thum most of the times so I will register the same thumb at least twice in order to make fingerprint scanning more accurate and faster. To do so, you can head over to Settings > Security & Lock screen > Fingerprint and tap on add fingerprint.

PUBG teases Moonlight Mode for Vikendi map on its Test servers, will soon be available to everyone

PUBG Vikendi night
PUBG Mobile will soon get the new Moonlight mode for Vikendi map

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG has gained immense popularity over the months due to the company constantly updating the game. The updates manage to maintain the hype within the players. Now, Tencent Games is working on another update where they have teased an "Awesome Patch." The update is rolling out for PUBG Test Servers on PC and will soon make its way to the stable version, PUBG Mobile and its console versions.

PUBG's official Twitter handle (@PLAYERUNKNOWN) has tweeted “We have an awesome patch coming to the PC Test Servers next week and I can’t wait to share it with you all. For now, here’s a look at some of the new additions coming to Vikendi!” They have also attached an image with the tweet, which shows a night mode of the recently released Vikendi map.

The scenery shown in the image surely looks beautiful and attractive due to the presence of a full moon spreading moonlight all around the map. The image also shows a bike, which looks like to be a show bike specially made for the Vikendi map. Notably, the Night mode on Vikendi map is quite different from what we have seen on other maps like Erangel. It is also worth noting that the company likes to call this new mode as "Moonlight Mode" in oppose to Night mode.

Vikendi map is currently available on PUBG PC and PUBG Mobile. However, PS4 and Xbox One players are still waiting for the stable version to roll out. The update is expected to arrive on the consoles on January 22.
