Xiaomi has started a beta program where Mi A1 users can register themselves to revive the new OTA update. It weighs in at around 1.1GB and brings Android 9 Pie to the table along with the latest December security patch. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG is one of the most popular games right now. While it all started on PC, the game is now available on Android, iOS, Xbox and even PlayStation. It is a battle royale game, which basically means that the last man or team standing wins the game. Here are the top 5 tips and tricks that can help you to easily get that sweet sweet Chicken Dinner.
Land carefully
Getting the chicken dinner in PUBG requires you to stay alive till the end. To reach the end, the start should be a good one. You can ensure a good start by landing on places where fewer people are likely to arrive. This way you can get hold of more loot and kill those few people around you easily.
Look at the map constantly
To grab the most details about what is happening around you, keep an eye on the map. The map provides you with the most information. You can also enlarge the map by tapping on the map in PUBG Mobile or M key on PC. It shows the circle in which you should always try to be and also the red and blue zones, which you should stay away from.
In a game like PUBG and Fortnite, players need to be very careful about their enemies. If you keep roaming around in the open, there will be high chances of getting shot by someone. So, you should take cover and try to stay low rather than just running around in the jungle. Also, when engaged in a gunfight, try taking cover using the walls or stones around you as that can save you from dying. Even applying bandages, taking painkillers and energy drinks should be done only when you have a good amount of cover. Or else you will just be an easy target for your enemy.
Look around, without actually turning (TPP Mode only)
TPP mode allows you to look around
It is said that PUBG is way easier for the people who play in TPP (Third person perspective) mode. This is because players can have a wider field of view in the game. Also, the game gives you an option to look what's happening around without actually needing to turn around. This gives an advantage as you can keep running towards one direction while still keeping an eye on what is on your back. While PUBG Mobile has an eye button on the screen, PC players have to press the alt key to use the feature.
In case you feel that you are not John Wick when it comes to using guns, you should play safe. Rather than jumping around to just increase the numbers of kills, you should just play quite and safe. Shooting the enemies only when they are close and not getting into a fight unnecessarily will help you to get to that Chicken Dinner easily. However, this way the game might feel a bit boring as you will get into less action.

Meizu C9 is a new entry-level smartphone by the company
Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Meizu recently hosted an event in New Delhi, India, where they unveiled three new smartphones. One of those smartphones was the entry level, Meizu C9. We got the chance to lay our hands on the device for some time and here are our first impressions.
Meizu C9: Specifications
Meizu C9 sports a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440x720 pixels. It is powered by a new UNISOC chip clocked at 1.3GHz. The dual-SIM handset packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. In the camera department, Meizu C9 comes with a single 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a LED flash. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
Meizu C9: First Impressions
Meizu C9 is an entry-level smartphone offering from the company. The phone does not shout that out with its build and design. It comes with a polycarbonate back, which does not feel cheap. The handset comes with an 18:9 display, which at this price is quite surprising. However, the bezels are relatively large when you compare it to more expensive phones.
It sports an 18:9 display up front
One of the most interesting parts of the C9 is its software. Unlike other Meizu smartphones, this one runs on stock Android 8.1 Oreo, thanks to Google's Android Go program. It helps the phone in performing better and providing better battery life to the consumer.
In the time we spent with the device, it really impressed us considering the price tag of Rs. 5,999. With the C9, Meizu is looking forward to competing against the Xiaomi Redmi 6A. Now, the question is, how well will it perform against the competition. To find an answer to that, you will need to wait for our full review, which is coming shortly.
Nokia 8 (2018) comes with HDR10 support and ZEISS optics
HMD Global has finally unveiled a new smartphone at an event in Dubai, UAE. Nokia 8.1 comes with a notch up front and a glass sandwich design. It also sports a dual-camera setup at the back with ZEISS optics. If you just cannot wait for the smartphone to go on sale in India, here are the alternatives you can look out for.
Xiaomi Poco F1
Poco F1 is one of the best options under Rs. 25,000
In case you are looking for flagship grade hardware, but do not want to spend a fortune, Poco F1 by Xiaomi might be a good choice. Unlike Nokia 8.1, the Poco F1 gets a polycarbonate body. It is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone is available at a starting price of Rs. 20,990.
Similar to the above-mentioned Poco F1, Honor Play also offers a good value for your money. It is powered by the company's own flagship Kirin 970 chipset and comes with up to 6GB of RAM. It runs on Android Oreo based EMUI out of the box. Honor Play is available at a starting price of Rs. 19,999.
Nokia 7 Plus

Xiaomi Mi A2
Xiaomi Mi A2 is also a part of Google's Android One program
If you are looking to save some money and still want decent performance, you should look for the Mi A2. Just like the Nokia 8.1, the Mi A2 also runs on Google's Android One program. It packs in Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chip which is way better than the 636 found on Nokia 7.1. The dual-sim handset is available with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The price tag of the base variant is set to Rs. 15,999.
Vivo V11 Pro also sports an in-display fingerprint scanner

It also sports a water drop style notch up front. Vivo's V11 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 25,990.
With the launch of the Meizu 16th, the company is making a comeback to the Indian market. The key highlights of the phone include the in-display fingerprint scanner and narrow bezels instead of a notch. We got to check out the phone for some time at the launch event and here are our first impressions.
Meizu 16th: Specifications
Meizu 16th features a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. It is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. Meizu 16th: First Impressions
It sports a 6-inch AMOLED display
In the era where most smartphone manufacturers are imitating each other, Meizu decided to take the risk and introduce something different. While most smartphones sport a notch up front, Meizu 16th comes with narrower bezels when compared to something like the Samsung Galaxy S9.
In the few minutes we got to spend with the device, we also got to check out Meizu's new FlyMe OS. It is quite inspired by other Chinese OEMs as this one also lacks an app drawer. We also tried its new in-display fingerprint scanner and it looks quite promising. It worked quite similar to the one found on OnePlus 6T.
Meizu 16th comes with six LEDs on the back
Turning the device around shows off the glass back design. Though we got to check out the phone in both Midnight Black and Moonlight White colour variants, we feel that the latter looks way better than the former. The camera setup also looks to be impressive as it comes with laser autofocus and flash that has a total of six LEDs. However, please wait for our review for a final judgement on how the camera performs.
For a price of Rs. 39,999, Meizu 16th is here to compete against the OnePlus 6T and Asus ZenFone 5Z. With a notch less display and an in-display fingerprint scanner, we really feel that this might be the device that is going to help Meizu in getting their hold back in the Indian smartphone market.
