Huawei Y9(2019) first impressions: Design

The Huawei Y9(2019) sports a 6.5-inch Full View Notched display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Its display is good for the price point. The overall build quality feels great. The phone does not feel cheap in hand even after having a plastic back. The paint finish on the smartphone is super reflective which gives it a premium look.

Huawei, Y9(2019)
The Plastic back feels not so plastic like

Design-wise, the phone looks good, similar to other phones by the company and considering the price point, the device gets lost in with the rest. There is nothing to distinguish it from others.

Huawei, Y9(2019)
The dual front camera is mounted on the display notch

Overall the design and build quality of Huawei Y9(2019) is amazing keeping the price point in mind. The notched display and the inclusion of Micro-USB at such a price might be a let down for many but things had to be done to keep the price down.

Huawei Y9(2019) first impressions: Camera

Coming to the optics, Huawei Y9(2019) sports a 16-megapixel f/2.0 aperture primary sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel f/2.4 aperture secondary sensor on the back. On the front, it sports a 13-megapixel f/1.8 apertuere primary sensor comboned with a 2-megapixel f/2.4 aperture secondary sensor.

Huawei Y9’s rear camera is quite good and takes great photos. The colours are a little bright but the details are very accurate whereas, the focus is on point. The aperture mode helps capture images with such detail that is unexpected in a smartphone in this range. The AI optimizations as the company claims helps greatly in improving the image quality.

Story is a bit different for the front camera module. The colors are a little bright, same as the rear setup, but the white balance is off and the details aren't that great like the rear setup. However, it still takes great photos but it is trumped under the performance of the rear camera.

Overall, the camera setup on the Huawei Y9(2019) is good. It you are a point and shoot kind of a guy, the Y9(2019) will serve you very well.

Huawei Y9(2019) first impressions: Conclusion

Huawei, Y9(2019)
The Y9 is amazon exclusive

The Huawei Y9(2019) is launched at a price point of Rs 15,990. It is Amazon exclusive and you get a free pair of Boat's Wireless sports earphones wprth Rs 2990 if you buy it now. At this price point, it is one of the great camera smartphone. The Kirin 710 performs great. However, during initial impressions we cannot say anything about the device's performance.

Overall the smartphone offers great camera setup, along with a good design and a justifiable enough price point. However, Huawei's own sub-brand Honor has a great offering in this segment, the Honor 8X. We don't know what the performance of the Y9(2019) is we cannot garuntee it will a great overall device, but we can make sure that you will not regret its camera performance.

Facebook-owned Instagram is now working on a new feature where users will be able to post to multiple accounts simultaneously. The report comes after a company spokesperson confirmed the upcoming feature to TechCrunch. The feature will first come to iOS and then, later on, make its way to the more popular Android platform.

Once the update is rolled out, the users will see an option to "self-regram" the post. The option will appear once you try to post something on Instagram. The feature will come-in handy for the people trying to publish one post into multiple business or personal accounts.

google-assistant-ces-2018

Google is constantly updating its wide range of Android apps in order to bring more features and enhance the user experience. Flight Check-in

Hey Google, check in to my flight

While Google Assistant has already been great in providing flight details collected from your e-mail, it is now getting even better. Now you can even ask Google to check-in to your upcoming flight and it will automatically retrieve your boarding passes. Currently, only the United Airlines is supported with support for other airlines coming shortly.

Google Maps

With the new update, Google is also finally bringing the Google Maps integration to the Assistant. It can help in sending your ETA to a particular location to your friends via SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Hangouts, Viber, Telegram, Android Messages and more.

Interpreter Mode

Another important feature that has now made its way to Google Assistant is the Interpreter Mode. This will allow the Google Assistant to act as an interpreter and it will translate languages in real time. However, it will require an active internet connection to do so. Also, if you use something like a Google Home, it will interpret using voice only whereas a device with a display can even show the text. Users simply need to say a command like "Hey Google, be my Chinese interpreter"

PUBG Mobile
PUBG Mobile is currently one of the most popular games on Android/iOS

PUBG Mobile or PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile has grown a great number of audience over the years. It is mainly because the game is free to play and how realistic experience it brings. However, Tencent Games is planning to spice things up by adding monsters in the game.

Tencent Games has added the feature only in the Chinese market in order to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which is coming on February 5. These monsters are not only structures around but can be killed by people by shooting at them. They can be found in the Erangel map and are spread throughout the map. A YouTube channel named Rae LAGARTO has shown the fight in action.

According to the above gameplay, the players can kill the monsters in order to collect special loot. However, these monsters are pretty strong and you would require a lot of bullets to bring them down. Also, they do attack, which can give serious damage to the player. Once you manage to kill him, you will get a lot in return via the bigger loot items.
