Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite to launch with Galaxy Note 20 series: Report

samsung, samsung galaxy fold
Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite will come with a comparatively lower price tag of around $1,099 (approximately Rs. 82,800).

Samsung is expected to launch its next-generation Galaxy Fold 2 smartphone along with its Galaxy Note 20 series of smartphones during the second half of this year. Now according to a new leak by tipster Max Weinbach Samsung is also looking to launch a budget foldable device, called the Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite.

According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite will come with a comparatively lower price tag of around $1,099 (approximately Rs. 82,800).

Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite: Leaked specifications

Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite will have a smaller display on the outside, which will be similar to the recently launched Galaxy Z Flip. The device will not sport the company's patented ultra-thin glass (UTG), instead, it will have a foldable display similar to the one on the Galaxy Fold.

The outer encasing of the smartphone will be built out of glass and metal, just like the Galaxy Fold. It will be made available in Mirror Black and Mirror Purple colour options.

The device will be a blend of 2018, 2019 and 2020 parts. Which will help it not be completely obsolete while keeping the costs down.

It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with no support for 5G. To keep the price down, the company has decided to support up to 4G networks. The device will come with 256GB of internal storage.

Weinbach mentioned in the leak that he is "unsure about that processor." He found it inside of the kernel sources of the S20 Ultra, due to which he pointed out that Samsung was at least "building software for the 865."

The device will be made available internationally and will not be restricted to any particular markets, just like the original Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip. Weinbach in his tweet mentioned that this should be treated as more of a "rumor than leak." He believes that the device is real but is still asking people to think of it as a rumour as of now, as the device is in its early stages and might not make it into the market.

The time has finally come and the company should start rolling out the new Royale Pass today.

Just like every season, the Royale Pass Season 13 is also based on a theme, which is Toy Playground this time around. With the new season, the company has added a couple of new outfits to match the theme of the season. In order to add the cartoon vibe to the game, the company has introduced two new Cartoon Rangers. The player will get a chance to pick one of these Cartoon Rangers that include the Ice Ranger and Fire Ranger once they manage to hit Rank 50.

With the increasing rank, the users will get the Ultra Defender Set at Rank 100. PUBG Mobile also gets a Puppet Agent outfit that comes in three forms that one can mix and match. Upon reaching the highest rank, the outfit will be upgraded to mythic rarity.

As the outfits are not enough to build up the excitement, the company has also added the Puppet Agent series. When the players manage to complete the Toy Mastery of the series, they will be able to unlock cool upgrades for the outfit. In order to complete the special missions quicker, the players can team up with their friends.

To make sure users are up to date with the Seasons, PUBG Mobile has also received new reminders at the beginning and the end of the season. The patch notes also suggest that the RP push notifications and tutorial guides have been improved.

The sub-Rs. 30,000 price bracket is one of the most prominent price segments in India. Over 85 percent of Indians are included in this segment.

Smartphone brands have once again entered into a megapixel war, with new smartphones being released with 108-megapixel, 64-megapixel and 48-megapixel sensors. However, this is not what the Indian customers are looking for in smartphones these days.

According to a survey conducted by CyberMedia Research (CMR), the number one feature an Indian consumer looks for in a smartphone, is the quality of the front camera. The survey included 600 people who already own a smartphone. It was conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The report states, 79 percent consumers purchasing a sub Rs. 30,000 smartphone think that the image quality is not dependent on the number of megapixels. 60 percent of consumers in the price bracket of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 said that the front camera is more important than the back camera.

The sub-Rs. 30,000 price bracket is one of the most prominent price segments in India. Over 85 percent of Indians are included in this segment.

During the survey, 64 percent of all the participants with phones under Rs. 30,000 said that the front camera is more important than the back camera. One of every three users asked said that the poor quality of the front camera is why they are dissatisfied with their smartphones. They said that the smartphone brands should bring innovations to make the selfie picture-perfect, under all conditions.

"What the survey insights provide us with, is a compelling picture of a classic conundrum. While smartphone brands focus on increasing the megapixel capabilities of the rear camera, consumer priorities, in the sub-30k segment, are elsewhere," Prabhu Ram, Head- Industry Intelligence Group (IIG), CMR, said in a press statement.

Today we will be taking a look at how the new Xiaomi Mi Box 4K stands up against the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K.

Xiaomi has finally launched its Android TV-powered Mi Box 4K streaming device in India. It is priced at Rs 3,499. During its online launch event, the company compared it with the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. It said that the Mi Box 4K is way ahead of the Fire TV Stick 4K and is much cheaper than it. Let's find out if Xiaomi is correctly saying so, or does the Amazon product pull ahead in a straight comparison.

Today we will be taking a look at how both the products compare.

Xiaomi Mi Box 4K vs Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K: Price

Xiaomi Mi Box 4K is priced at Rs 3,499 and will be made available starting May 10 at 12 PM via Flipkart, Mi.com, and the company's own offline stores. Whereas, the Fire TV Stick 4K is priced at Rs 5,999 and is readily available on Amazon and offline stores.

Price is a big factor that will sway consumers away from the Fire TV Stick 4K and towards the Mi Box 4K. Amazon will have to lower the price of its Fire TV Stick 4K if it wants to compete against the Mi Box 4K.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is powered by a custom quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. It also comes with 8GB of internal storage. The device runs, a forked version of Android, named Fire TV OS.

Not many apps are available on this platform. However, major streaming services like Apple TV are available on it.Xiaomi, Mi Box 4K, Mi Box 4K Price in India, Mi Box 4K Specifications, Amazon, Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, Android TV

Mi Box 4K comes with an in-built Chromecast Ultra, which allows users to stream content directly to the TV from compatible devices.

Mi Box 4K is a box that is required to be placed on a tabletop. Whereas, the Fire TV Stick 4K is a dongle, which hangs behind the television. Just like the Mi Box, this can also stream videos in 4K resolution. Unlike the Mi Box, this does not come with a USB port or a headphone jack. This means that the device will not be able to act as a media player or connect to a pair of headphones.

Xiaomi Mi Box 4K vs Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K: Features

Mi Box 4K comes with an in-built Chromecast Ultra, which allows users to stream content directly to the TV from compatible devices. The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K comes with a built-in Miracast for casting. However, the Mi Box is just more capable in terms of its casting capabilities, as with Miracast users can only mirror their screens and not directly cast something.

Where the Fire TV Stick 4K pulls ahead is in the display support technology. Mi Box 4K supports HDR content up to HDR10. However, the Fire Stick 4K comes with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 content.

The Mi box comes with Google Assistant support, whereas, the Fire TV Stick supports Amazon's Alexa digital assistant. Both of these digital assistants have their own benefits and drawbacks. It just depends on your personal choice, which one do you like more. I personally feel that the Google Assistant is a better digital assistant overall.

As of now, the Xiaomi Mi Box 4K seems like a better buy, considering that you will be saving a lot more money, which you can then spend on your Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar or any other OTT service.
