Google recently announced that it will be dropping the dessert naming scheme it followed for Android releases, and the upcoming Android Q operating system will officially be named Android 10. This brings an end to an era, with Android 9.0 Pie being the one to feature the company's legacy naming scheme.
Apart from the name change, the company announced that from now on all Android releases will be numbered like Android 11, Android 12 and so on. The operating system has also got a new logo and colour scheme.

It might also update some of its Galaxy A-series and Galaxy M-series smartphones in-between. But, we standby the fact that these updates will not come quickly and Samsung will take its time in releasing them, indicated by its past patterns of Android system updates.
